ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Sonia Schnee.

My background is a unique intersection of project management, video production and content creation, website and social media management, client relations, and customer service. Throughout my career, I've helped people tell stories, solve problems, and bring creative projects to life. From managing digital content and producing videos to supporting clients and coordinating complex projects, I've consistently found myself drawn to the intersection of storytelling, technology, and human connection.

I have over 10 years of experience planning and executing multimedia projects for a diverse roster of clients, ranging from artists, to entrepreneurs, small-to-medium size businesses, corporations, nonprofits, and higher education institutions.

I graduated from Dartmouth College in 2009 with a B.A. and High Honors in Film & Media Studies. While at Dartmouth, I was a Co-Founder of the Dartmouth Organization of Filmmakers and a recipient of the Maurice H. Rapf Award for Outstanding Achievement in Film and Media Studies. For my senior thesis, I wrote, directed, and produced a feature-length film.

After graduating, I worked on numerous film and television sets in New York City and New Jersey as an Assistant Director, Script Supervisor, Video Editor, and held various crew positions. I worked on the documentary Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work, which went on to win Best Documentary Editing at Sundance Film Festival. I was hired by HBO, Inc. as their New Media Asset Specialist, where I researched emerging video technologies and repackaged original HBO content such as Game of Thrones, VEEP, and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver for social media publication.

In 2010, I joined New Jersey Arts News, a New Jersey-based nonprofit producer of short form video news stories for broadcast television, radio, and internet distribution. There, I was promoted several times, contributing as Production and Research Assistant, Outreach Coordinator, Video Editor, and Operations Manager.

From 2014-2023, I produced over 200 video projects for small to mid-sized businesses, nonprofits, higher education institutions, and clients in a variety of industries as the Founder and Owner of two small businesses: Jersey Video Production and Jersey Indie, a community-focused media and marketing brand dedicated to showcasing New Jersey’s independent artists, small businesses, and creative minds.

Since 2023, I have helped clients with a variety of personal and work-related projects, ranging from multimedia content creation, to client outreach, event planning and execution, and more, providing in-person hands-on support as well as virtual support.

While the clients I have served and the projects I have worked on have been diverse, the outcome has been consistent: exceptional client/customer experiences and 5-star reviews.

Whether you have a project directly relating to your business, a personal passion project, or a community project that you need help executing, I’m here to help you define what success looks like, create a roadmap, gather a team, monitor progress, deliver results on time and within budget, and bring value to your work and life.
